Our PBR in Henry Jackson Square Naval Station Everett for the Open Base

We had large groups of people visiting our boat. Although the stated hour were 1400 to 1900 we had long lines starting at 1230. The Naval station provided us with a gangway to make access easy and safe.

We had several display boards with the story of PBR's in Vietnam and Naval Expeditionary Boat Bivisions 52, 92 and 93.  RR1 (River Rat first class) A. Billy Ratt was our official greeter.

During the day we had to call in air support from the jets at Whidbey Island --- they can be seen lining up for a firing run off the stern of our PBR. They dove down and caught the civilians by surprise.

You can see the fear in A. Billy's eyes as the base commander Captain Mascolo offers his tail to his son But Billy will do ANYTHING for his country and the navy.

The coordinator of the Open Base event, LCDR Tatge demonstrated she could multi task. she made everything go smoothly and also showed she could dance.

Here is A. Billy in his element entertaining some of our young visitors . He is always on his best behavior and a  gracious host at the Gamewardens public events.

To end the day we had to call in a in formation bombing run to send the visitors home

Everett 4th of July Parade

PO1 Thomas moves our boat from the Jackson Square on the morning of the 4th in preparation for hook up to the truck. Thomas and the sailors like him from boat divisions 92 and 93 make everything we do possible!!
